An interesting game was also tough home loss of Team Crema in a game versus undefeated Sesto SG (#6) 57-51. Team Crema was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 14-7 charge of Sesto SG, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Team Crema to just 7 points in fourth quarter. The former international forward Elisa Ercoli (191-95) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and guard Virginia Galbiati (173-92, agency: SPORTlab Agency) supported her with 12 points. Even 14 points by guard Paola Caccialanza (175-89) did not help to save the game for Team Crema. Power forward Gilda Cerri (185-90) added 4 points and 13 rebounds for the hosts. Sesto SG will meet at home Virtus Cagliari (#7) in the next round. Team Crema will play against Carugate and hope to win that game.
