The game between third ranked Halcones (7-5) and 6th ranked Toros (3-9) in Panama City on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Halcones beat guests from David 83-72. The game without a history. Halcones led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The winners were led by forward Ernesto Oglivie (203-89) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Kenny Brown (188-91, college: Ferris St.) supported him with 19 points. Even 26 points and 5 rebounds by naturalized American guard Antonio Bumpus (190-89, college: Cumberlands) did not help to save the game for Toros. Point guard Joel Munoz (183-80, agency: Paris Global Sports) added 10 points and 7 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Halcones maintains third position with 7-5 record behind leader Correcaminos. Toros lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. Halcones' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Panama City Aguilas.
