Regular Season Round 4: Salt - Sant Nicolau 57-71

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Sant Nicolau (1-2) defeated on the road higher ranked Salt (1-2) 71-57 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Sant Nicolau. Salt was better in second period 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of center Larry Ewulu (197-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Nil Angelats (185-93) who added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side guard Guillem Pascua (186-89) responded with 20 points and point guard Xavier Torrent (176-90) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sant Nicolau left bottom position moving up to eighth place in Group C-A, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Salt. Sant Nicolau will face league's leader Martorell at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
