Regular Season Round 3: San Miniato - Bottegone 71-60

San Miniato used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Bottegone 71-60 on Sunday night. It was a great evening for guard Francesco Stefanelli (190-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 6 steals. Naturalized Swiss Olivier Giacomelli (198-95, agency: Players Group) helped adding 11 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was power forward Fiorello Toppo (198-80) with 14 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Bulgaria guard Georgi Sirakov (187-92, agency: Interperformances) scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. San Miniato will face Montecatiniterme (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bottegone will play against Cecina (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
