Regular Season Round 4: Palma II - Sant Adria 98-94

Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Sant Adria (1-2) was defeated on the road by top-ranked Palma II (3-0) 98-94 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Sant Adria won third quarter 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sant Adria was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Carlos Poyatos (207-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and forward Llorenc Llompart (198-87) who added 10 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Francesc Pascal (188) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds and guard Enric Nogales (187-94) scored 13 points. Five Palma II and four Sant Adria players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Palma II have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group C-B leader, which they share with Barbera. Sant Adria at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth place with two games lost. Palma II will face Quart (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Sant Adria will play against Castelldefels and hope to win that game.
