Gimnasia LP used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Temperley 87-85 on Sunday night. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 26-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Forward Maximiliano Segon (200-91) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Spanish-Brazilian center Jose Victor Jeronimo (208-91) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Lucas Ortiz (190-87) produced 26 points and forward Leopoldo Ibanez Paz (192-89) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Gimnasia LP and five CA Temperley players scored in double figures. Gimnasia LP will face Parque Sur (#6) in Concepcion de Urug. in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
