Regular Season Round 3: San Severo - Pescara 82-64

There was an upset when Pescara (2-1) was defeated on the road by San Severo (1-2) 82-64 on Sunday. San Severo shot 64.2 percent from the field. San Severo outrebounded Pescara 31-19 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for San Severo especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for power forward Alessandro Cecchetti (200-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Naturalized Argentinian point guard Matias Di Marco (180-84) helped adding 14 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Four San Severo players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Andrea Capitanelli (208-86) with 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Andrea Grosso (193-87) scored 9 points and 4 assists. San Severo will face Porto S.Elpidio (#10) on the road in the next round. Pescara will play against Senigallia (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
