The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Monaco as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Monaco defeated 12th ranked Hyeres-Toulon at home 84-68. The game was mostly controlled by Monaco. Hyeres-Toulon managed to win third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Monaco looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Ukrainian swingman Sergii Gladyr (196-88, agency: BeoBasket) fired 16 points for the winners.
