Regular Season Round 8: Iwate Big Bulls - Gunma 64-76

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Iwate Big Bulls (0-8) were defeated at home by first ranked Gunma (6-2) 76-64 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 47-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Gunma made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Iwate Big Bulls turnovers. Iwate Big Bulls were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Nigeria forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. Gunma will face Cyberdyne IR (#3) in Tsukuba in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
