Regular Season Round 3: Basket Gdynia - Artego Bydg. 59-71

There was no surprise when Basket Gdynia (0-3) was defeated at home by Artego Bydg. (2-1) 71-59 on Sunday. The game without a history. Artego Bydg. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was Jamaica-American point guard Maurita Reid (172-85, college: Miami, FL) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists. American forward Denesha Stallworth (190-92, college: Kentucky, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Artego Bydg. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Carolyn Swords (198-89, college: Boston Coll., agency: LBM Management) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds and Montenegrin guard Jelena Skerovic (176-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists respectively. Artego Bydg. will face TS Ostrovia (#9) in Ostrow Wlkp. in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Basket Gdynia will play on the road against Wisla Can-Pack in Krakow and hopes to get finally their first victory.
