Regular Season Round 5: Udominate - Visby 80-56

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Udominate as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Udominate smashed bottom-ranked Visby Ladies in Umea 80-56. The game without a history. Udominate led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Udominate forced 21 Visby Ladies turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Visby Ladies' players. The former international guard Martina Stalvant (176-89, agency: Two Points) stepped up and scored 21 points and 5 assists for the winners and Latvia center Zenta Melnika (197-91) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Udominate's coach Tamara Ruzic felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Danielle McCray (185-93, college: Mississippi) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Taylor Gault (173-93, college: UALR) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Udominate (5-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Visby Ladies at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Visby Ladies will play next round against IK Eos trying to get back on the winning streak. Udominate will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Norrkoping Dolphins on the road.
