Regular Season Round 4: Landes - Flammes 76-55

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Basket Landes as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Basket Landes smashed 6th ranked Flammes in Mont de Marsan 76-55. The game without a history. Basket Landes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Flammes' 22. Worth to mention a great performance of international Celine Dumerc (169-82, agency: Comsport) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 4 assists and Spanish swingman Queralt Casas (177-92) who added 12 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side international guard Amel Bouderra (160-89) responded with 10 points and 6 assists and Belgian Kim Mestdagh (179-90, college: Colorado St., agency: LBM Management) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Flammes players scored in double figures. Flammes' coach Romuald Yernaux gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Basket Landes have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Flammes at the other side dropped to the seventh place with two games lost. They share the position with Mondeville and Lattes Montp.. Flammes will play next round against strong Lyon trying to get back on the winning streak. Basket Landes will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Angers on the road.
