Rather predictable result in Buenos Aires where fifth ranked Obras Basket (5-4) edged 9th ranked Quilmes MP (2-7) 79-78 on Monday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Quilmes MP won fourth quarter 22-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Obras Basket made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Obras Basket had a 28-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Dennis Horner (205-88, college: N.Carolina St.) fired 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners.
