There was no surprise in Parana where 7th ranked Echague (3-5) was crushed by fourth ranked Olimpico de La Banda (5-2) 102-75 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Olimpico de La Banda led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Mauro Cosolito (195-88) fired 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international Federico Van Lacke (191-80) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Olimpico de La Banda players scored in double figures. Canadian-Polish center Dallin Bachynski (213-91, college: Utah) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and American swingman Brandon Davis (198-88, college: Lamar, agency: Pro Sports) added 16 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olimpico de La Banda moved-up to second place in Norte, which they share with San Martin C. Echague lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Olimpico de La Banda will face Estudiantes C. (#5) in Concordia in the next round. Echague will play at home against Regatas Corrientes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
