Regular Season Round 4: Castello - CB Clavijo 83-76

Bottom-ranked Cocinas.com is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to thirteenth ranked Castello (2-2) 83-76. It looked good early as Cocinas.com took a 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Castello had a 26-9 second period charge getting the lead and Cocinas.com was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 76-83. Castello players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Guard Borja Arevalo (195-91) fired 7 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Center Maodo Nguirane (210-93) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Arevalo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Castello players scored in double figures. Guard Alberto Ruiz de Galarreta (198-83) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and Ukrainian power forward Volodymyr Gerun (208-94, college: Portland) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Castello moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 6 other teams. Cocinas.com at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Castello's next round opponent will be Burgos (#10) on the road. Cocinas.com will play against Gipuzkoa (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
