Regular Season Round 5: Pogon Prudnik - Nysa Klodzko 96-70

Bottom-ranked Nysa Klodzko (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 96-70 loss to ninth ranked Pogon Prudnik (3-2) in Prudnik on Wednesday evening. The game without a history. Pogon Prudnik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was Pawel Bogdanowicz (197-87) who scored 17 points and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Tomasz Prostak (188-88, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. Four Pogon Prudnik players scored in double figures. Pogon Prudnik's coach Tomasz Michalak felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Michal Lipinski (185-86) produced 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Aleksander Lenczuk (193-93) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Pogon Prudnik moved-up to seventh place, which they share with SKK Siedlce. Nysa Klodzko lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Pogon Prudnik will face AZS AGH Krk. (#12) in Krakow in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Nysa Klodzko will play at home against Rosa II Radom and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
