Regular Season Round 4: AIK - KFUM Central 79-59

Date: October 19, 2016
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked AIK as it allowed them to take a leadership position. AIK smashed bottom-ranked KFUM Central in Solna 79-59. The game was mostly controlled by AIK. KFUM Central managed to win third quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AIK forced 25 KFUM Central turnovers. The former international guard Serkan Inan (201-86) fired 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jonathan Gunnarsson (195-95) chipped in 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four AIK players scored in double figures. Forward Emil Haglund (201-96) produced 16 points and 6 rebounds and guard Joeffrey Masabe Paulsson (186-90) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. AIK have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Hogsbo and Djurgarden. KFUM Central at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. KFUM Central will play next round against KFUM Blackeberg trying to get back on the winning streak. AIK will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Taby Basket on the road.
