Important game to mention about took place in Prizren. FYR Macedonia Kumanovo (2-0) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging Kosovan Bashkimi (0-2) 86-83 on Wednesday evening. The guests were already 20 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 32-15 Bashkimi's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 86-83 at the end of the game. Kumanovo made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Point guard Aleksandar Kostovski (186-88) notched 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Serbian swingman Miladin Pekovic (197-83, agency: BeoExcell) supported him with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Even 25 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists by American guard Kejuan Johnson (193-85, college: Long Beach St., agency: Inception Sports) did not help to save the game for Bashkimi. Center Gazmend Sinani (206-91) added 15 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. Four Kumanovo and five Bashkimi players scored in double figures. Kumanovo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bashkimi will play on the road against Beroe (#1) in Stara Zagora to get more than just one victory in their record.
