Regular Season Round 4: TuNMKY - PeU-Basket 68-83

PeU-Basket has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Turun, where they defeated TuNMKY (1-2) 83-68. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when PeU-Basket's pressure prevailed and they won that period 28-16 extending their advantage to 15 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to TuNMKY's 32. It was a very good performance for American forward Tiel Daniels (200-92, college: Colorado St., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Riku Laine (197-97) contributed with 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Mikael Sandberg (210-91) replied with 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and guard Eero Innamaa (186-98) added 9 points and 6 assists in the effort for TuNMKY. Despite that victory PeU-Basket went down to twelfth position (Division) due to points difference. TuNMKY at the other side dropped to the eighth place with two games lost. PeU-Basket's next round opponent will be Namika Lr (#13) in Lappeenranta.
