Regular Season Round 4: Wisla Can-Pack - Basket Gdynia 72-60

Bottom-ranked Basket Gdynia is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to sixth ranked Wisla Can-Pack (3-1) 72-60. Basket Gdynia was ahead by 10 points after three quarters before a 27-5 charge of Wisla Can-Pack, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Basket Gdynia to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Ewelina Kobryn (193-82) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and American guard Meighan Simmons (175-92, college: Tennessee) who added 22 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Montenegrin guard Jelena Skerovic (176-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) responded with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and American center Carolyn Swords (198-89, college: Boston Coll., agency: LBM Management) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Basket Gdynia at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with MKK Siedlce. Wisla Can-Pack will play against TS Ostrovia (#9) in Ostrow Wlkp. in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Basket Gdynia will play at home against AZS UMCS and hopes to get finally their first victory.
