Regular Season Round 3: Doxa Pefkon - Holargos 73-71

A very interesting game took place in Pefkon. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of Holargos (0-3) to Doxa Pefkon (1-2) 73-71 on Saturday evening. Holargos was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 24-15 third quarter run of Doxa Pefkon. They made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Holargos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for Norwegian forward Karamo Jawara (203-91, college: N.C.Central) who led the winners and scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Dimitris Kalampakas (202-89) accounted for 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Naturalized Serbian guard Igor Milosevic (193-86, agency: BeoBasket) came up with 19 points and 5 assists and center Apostolos Koutroulias (206-76) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Holargos in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Doxa Pefkon's next round opponent will be Arkadikos (#13) in Arkadia which should be theoretically an easy game. Holargos will play at home against Aiolos Astakou and hopes to get finally their first victory.
