Regular Season Round 4: NUIG Mystics - Brunell 74-60

Bottom-ranked Brunell is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their third consecutive match to fifth ranked NUIG Mystics (2-3) 74-60 on Saturday evening. It was a great shooting night for NUIG Mystics especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. The winners were led by American power forward Ebony Wells (188, college: La Salle) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 18 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and Brittany Glasco supported her with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points and 16 rebounds by international power forward Amy Waters (180-95) did not help to save the game for Brunell. Forward Amy Murphy (179-99) added 13 points for lost side. Four Brunell players scored in double figures. Despite that victory NUIG Mystics went down to sixth position due to points difference. Loser Brunell still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with P.Panthers. NUIG Mystics will meet higher ranked DCU Mercy (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Brunell's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Cork Glanmire.
