Regular Season Round 3: Kymis - AEK Athens 55-81

Date: October 22, 2016
AEK Athens (3-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed Kymis (1-2) 81-55. The game was mostly controlled by AEK Athens. Kymis managed to win fourth quarter 24-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kymis to just 6 points in first quarter and to 14 points in first half. AEK Athens forced 19 Kymis turnovers. It was a quality performance for American-Georgia guard Michael Dixon (186-90, college: Memphis) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Bosnian forward Milan Milosevic (203-85, agency: BeoExcell) accounted for 8 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. American forward Jordan Morgan (203-91, college: Michigan) came up with 11 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import swingman Muhammad El-Amin (196-87, college: Stony Brook, agency: Inception Sports) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Kymis in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. AEK Athens will meet Aiolos Trikallon (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kymis will play against Panathinaikos (#5) in Athens and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
