Regular Season Round 5: Suchy Las - Asseco II 55-59

Very predictable result when third ranked Asseco II (4-1) won against bottom-ranked Suchy Las (0-4) in Poznan 59-55 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-17. But Suchy Las won second period 10-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Swingman Karol Kaminski (193-97) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points. Power forward Michal Kolodziej (202-97, agency: Alti Sport) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Maciej Leszczynski (189-99) answered with 10 points and 5 assists and guard Marcin Tomaszewski (194-98) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Suchy Las. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Asseco II moved-up to second place in Group A, which they share with AZS PGd and AZS UMK Torun. Newly promoted Suchy Las still closes the standings with four games lost. Asseco II will face SMS PZKosz (#5) in Wladyslawowo in the next round. Suchy Las will play on the road against Tarnovia (#6) in Tarnowo Podgorne and hope to get finally their first victory.
