Regular Season Round 3: Bologna - Viterbo 60-45

Date: October 22, 2016
There was no surprise when Viterbo (1-2) was defeated on the road by Bologna (3-0) 60-45 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 60-45. Bologna dominated on the defensive end, holding Viterbo to just 5 points in second quarter. They made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Bologna forced 24 Viterbo turnovers and outrebounded them 43-24 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for power forward Chiara Cadoni (182-94) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. The former international point guard Raelin D'Alie (168-87, college: Wisconsin, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 14 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Giulia Ciavarella (181-97) with 16 points and 7 rebounds and center Adriana Cutrupi (188-96) scored 4 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bologna will face Castellammare (#11) in Stabia in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Viterbo will play at home against Marghera and hope to win that game.
