Regular Season Round 5: Orleans - Limoges 80-74

There was a minor upset when higher ranked Limoges CSP Elite (2-3) lost on the road to fourteenth ranked Entente Orleans 45 (2-3) 80-74 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 44-35 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Entente Orleans 45 shot 60.8 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Entente Orleans 45 especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Swiss guard Jonathan Kazadi (193-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American guard William Buford (196-90, college: Ohio St., agency: Two Points) answered with 23 points and 5 assists and the other American import forward C.J. Fair (203-91, college: Syracuse) added 15 points in the effort for Limoges CSP Elite. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Entente Orleans 45 moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Limoges CSP Elite. Limoges CSP Elite lost their third game in a row. Entente Orleans 45 will face higher ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
