Regular Season Round 4: Arantia - Etzella 52-77

There was no surprise in Larochette where bottom-ranked Arantia (0-4) was crushed by top-ranked Etzella (4-0) 77-52 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Etzella. Arantia was better in fourth quarter 15-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Etzella forced 21 Arantia turnovers. Canadian power forward Billy McNutt (203-85) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winners. International swingman Jairo Delgado (188-85) chipped in 14 points. American forward Lee Fisher (198-89, college: Chicago St.) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Sam Ferreira (200-89) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Etzella have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Contern. Loser Arantia still closes the standings with four games lost. Etzella will face Amicale (#3) in Steinsel in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Arantia will play at home against Basket Esch (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
