Regular Season Round 5: Inter Bratislava - Rieker KN 88-78

Rather expected game when 7th ranked Rieker KN (1-2) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Inter Bratislava (4-1) 88-78 on Saturday. Inter Bratislava made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Aleksandar Vlahovic (190-90, agency: 011 Sports) who scored 27 points and 8 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). The former international power forward Radoslav Rancik (205-79, college: St.Cloud St., agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. American forward Wayne Langston (201-93, college: Murray St.) produced 28 points and 6 rebounds and Slovenia forward Sinisa Bilic (201-89) added 21 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Inter Bratislava moved-up to second place. Loser Rieker KN dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. Inter Bratislava will meet Nitra (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rieker KN will play against the league's leader Levice and hope to win that game.
