Regular Season Round 9: Chiba Jets - Hokkaido L. 80-65

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Chiba Jets and 5th ranked Hokkaido L. had identical 3-5 record. This time Chiba Jets used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Saporro 80-65 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Chiba Jets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-93) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners and international power forward Ryumo Ono (197-88) chipped in 21 points. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. Chiba Jets' coach Atsushi Ono used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Daisuke Noguchi (196-83) with 20 points and American center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Chiba Jets maintains third place with 4-5 record having just three points less than leader Tochigi Brex, which they share with Niigata Albirex and Sendai 89ers. Hokkaido L. lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Chiba Jets will face again Hokkaido L. (#5) in Saporro in the next round.
