Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Wetterbygden (3-1) defeated on the road 8th ranked Helsingborg (1-3) 76-66 on Saturday. Helsingborg was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Wetterbygden forced 21 Helsingborg turnovers. Guard Albin Hall-Eriksson (187-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 5 rebounds. Bosnian forward Kemal Omerbasic (201-92) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Wetterbygden players scored in double figures. Wetterbygden's coach Dennis Aulander allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Stefan Zivkovic (185-93) answered with 13 points and 5 assists and guard Anton Persson (180-97) added 14 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) in the effort for Helsingborg. Wetterbygden moved-up to third place, which they share with Alvik Basket and LF Future. Loser Helsingborg keeps the eighth position with three games lost. Wetterbygden will have a break next round. Helsingborg will play on the road against IK Eos (#7) in Lund and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
