Regular Season Round 5: Asker Aliens - Centrum 69-87

Rather expected game when 7th ranked Asker Aliens (2-4) lost at home to fourth ranked Centrum (4-2) 87-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Centrum. Asker Aliens was better in third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Asker Aliens 50-35 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Centrum looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Anders Stien (195-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Aksel Bolinz (201-90, college: N.Illinois) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. DR Congolese power forward Djo Yele (203-82) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and American point guard Nate Garth (188-89, college: UCSB) added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Asker Aliens. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Nidaros Jets. Loser Asker Aliens keep the seventh position with four games lost. Centrum will face league's second-placed Froya Basket in Laksevag in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Asker Aliens will play at home against Nidaros Jets (#3) and hope to win that game.
