Regular Season Round 5: Mons-Hainaut - Leuven 77-75

The game between third ranked Leuven Bears (3-2) and ninth ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut (2-3) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Leuven Bears were edged by Belfius Mons-Hainaut in a tough game in Jemappes 75-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Leuven Bears. Swingman Idris Lasisi (188-88, college: Whitworth) stepped up and scored 20 points for the winners and the former international point guard Lionel Bosco (175-81, agency: Court Side) chipped in 8 points and 10 assists. Four Belfius Mons-Hainaut players scored in double figures. American guard Codi Miller-McIntyre (190-94, college: Wake Forest) responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Egyptian-American center Omar Samhan (211-88, college: St.Mary's, CA) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Belfius Mons-Hainaut moved-up to sixth place. Leuven Bears at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Oostende. Belfius Mons-Hainaut are looking forward to face league's second-placed Okapi Aalstar on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Leuven Bears will play against Basic-Fit Brussels and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
