Date: October 23, 2016
The game in Kinna supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Alvik Basket (4-1) played at the court of 6th ranked Mark (3-3). Alvik Basket smashed Mark 85-57. The game without a history. Alvik Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Alvik Basket outrebounded Mark 43-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Mark's players. Point guard Klara Lundquist (171-99) notched 15 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and Erica Iderstal (172-94) supported her with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Alvik Basket's coach Jurgita Kausaite felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 14 points and 6 rebounds by American forward Keyora Wharry (178-93, college: Colorado St.) did not help to save the game for Mark. Forward Kajsa Carlsson (180-96) added 11 points. Alvik Basket moved-up to fourth place. Mark at the other side keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Alvik Basket's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Lulea Basket at home and it may be the game of the week. Mark will play against Sallen (#9) and hope to win that game.
