Regular Season Round 10: Ryukyu GK - Nagoya DD 64-69

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Okinawa. First ranked Diamond Dolphins faced 3rd ranked Ryukyu GK. Guests from Nagoya (8-2) defeated host Ryukyu GK (6-4) 69-64. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Ryukyu GK. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 21-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Ryukyu GK 43-28 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side international guard Ryuichi Kishimoto (176-90) responded with 14 points and 5 assists and American power forward Lamont Hamilton (208-84, college: St.John's) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Diamond Dolphins maintains first position with 8-2 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Ryukyu GK keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Hitachi SR. Diamond Dolphins will meet at home league's second-placed Aishin Sea Horses in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ryukyu GK will have a break next round.
