Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Rayes Gallegos (188-90, college: Nebraska) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import power forward Sean Carter (205-88, college: Massachusetts) who added 10 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Marcus Morrison (198-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and center Alan Olivas (202-88) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Abejas maintains fifth position with 2-1 record. Ciudad at the other side dropped to the bottom place with four games lost. They share the position with Barreteros. Abejas will play against Correcaminos (#7) in Ciudad Victoria in the next round. Ciudad will play on the road against the league's second-placed Panteras in Aguascalientes to get more than just one victory in their record.
