Regular Season Round 4: La Spezia - Venezia 43-61

Bottom-ranked La Spezia is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to top-ranked Venezia (4-0) 61-43 on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Venezia. La Spezia was better in fourth quarter 17-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding La Spezia to just 6 points in first quarter. Venezia held La Spezia to an opponent 24.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 32.9 percent accuracy of the winners. Venezia forced 21 La Spezia turnovers. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Venezia have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Familia Schio and San Martino. Newly promoted La Spezia still closes the standings with four games lost. Venezia will face Umbertide (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. La Spezia will play against Vigarano and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
