Regular Season Round 6: Campus Promete - CREF Hola 83-58

Everything could happen in Logrono at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Campus Promete and 9th ranked CREF Hola had identical 2-3 record. This time Campus Promete used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Madrid 83-58 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Campus Promete. CREF Hola was better in fourth quarter 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Campus Promete looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by CREF Hola's players. Italian-Australia guard Nicole Romeo (168-89, college: Washington, agency: Regeneracom Sports) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American Leslie Knight (184-86) chipped in 16 points during the contest. Four Campus Promete players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Nigeria forward Sarah Imovbioh (188-92, college: S.Carolina) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and American power forward Destiny Williams (185-91, college: Baylor) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Campus Promete have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Ferrol and Al-Qazeres. CREF Hola lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with four games lost. Campus Promete will face league's second-placed Gernika on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. CREF Hola will play against the league's leader Argon Uni Girona (#1) and hope to win that game.
