Third-ranked Bambitious Nara (4-6) gave a tough game to first ranked Nishinomiya S. (9-1) in Hyogo on Sunday. Nishinomiya S. managed to secure only three-point victory 92-89. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning two of next three quarters and won the game in overtime by 3 points. Bambitious Nara was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Tadahiro Yanagawa (183-86) scored 25 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) chipped in 20 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Janya Masumoto (183-88) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and forward Daiki Terashita (190-80) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Nishinomiya S. and four Bambitious Nara players scored in double figures. Nishinomiya S. have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record, which they share with Toyotsu FE. Bambitious Nara at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. Nishinomiya S. will face Tokyo Excel.
