Regular Season Round 8: Toyota B SR - Chanson V-M 72-65

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Chanson V-M (4-2) against sixth ranked Toyota B SR (4-2) on Sunday night. Visiting Chanson V-M was defeated by Toyota B SR in a tough game in Aichi 65-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Chanson V-M. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Guard Yui Kawahara (169-91) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 8 assists. Power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. International forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) replied with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Minaho Minamiminoru (167-93) added 21 points (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) in the effort for Chanson V-M. Toyota B SR moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Chanson V-M and Fujitsu RW. Toyota B SR will play against league's second-placed Toyota A. in Nagoya in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Chanson V-M will play at home against Yamanashi QB and hopes to get back on the winning track.
