Regular Season Round 4: Namika Lr - Korikouvot 67-89

Everything went according to plan in Lappeenranta where fourth ranked Korikouvot (3-2) outscored bottom-ranked Namika Lr (0-3) 89-67 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-67. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Arttu Saarijarvi (200-96) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Teemu Knihtinen (192-98) who added 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Korikouvot players scored in double figures. Korikouvot's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side forward Karl Engelvuori (191-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and forward Santeri Mantynen (192-95) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Korikouvot maintains fourth position in Division with 3-2 record. Loser Namika Lr still closes the standings with three games lost. Korikouvot will have a break next round. Namika Lr will play on the road against PeU-Basket (#12) in Pernio and hopes to get finally their first victory.
