Regular Season Round 5: Persbraten - Froya Basket 66-85

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Froya Basket (5-2) crushed bottom-ranked Persbraten (0-4) in Oslo 85-66 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Froya Basket. Persbraten was better in fourth quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Jamell Harris (206-91, college: E.Michigan) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Latvia guard Edmunds Gabrans (188-79) contributed with 13 points and 7 assists for the winners. Swedish guard Aron Furstenberg (192-88) answered with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Swedish guard Calle Duvdal (181-88) added 13 points in the effort for Persbraten. Four Persbraten players scored in double figures. Persbraten's coach Axel Langaker rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Froya Basket have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 5-2 record having just two point less than leader Kongsberg. Newly promoted Persbraten still closes the standings with four games lost. Froya Basket will face Centrum (#4) in Oslo in the next round. Persbraten will play at home against Tromso (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
