Regular Season Round 10: Chiba Jets - Hokkaido L. 96-52

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Chiba Jets (5-5) smashed at home 5th ranked Hokkaido L. (3-7) 96-52 on Sunday. The game without a history. Chiba Jets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hokkaido L. to just 7 points in third quarter. Chiba Jets dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Hokkaido L.'s 32. American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St.) fired 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-93) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. Chiba Jets' coach Atsushi Ono felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international guard Ryota Sakurai (194-83) produced 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Takehiko Orimo (190-70) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Chiba Jets maintains third position with 5-5 record having just three points less than leader Tochigi Brex, which they share with Niigata Albirex and Sendai 89ers. Hokkaido L. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with seven games lost. Chiba Jets will face league's second-placed Toyota Alvark in Tokyo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
