Regular Season Round 4: Soles - Santos 98-90

Very predictable result when second ranked Soles (3-1) won against 9th ranked Santos (2-3) in Mexicali 98-90. Soles made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Justin Keenan (202-88, college: Ferris St.) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds and Nigeria Chamberlain Oguchi (196-86, college: Illinois St.) who added 24 points during the contest. Five Soles players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Martin Samarco (190-85, college: Bowling Green) responded with 38 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and Jamaica-American forward Noelly Walters (202-79, college: Morehouse) scored 16 points. Santos' coach Andres Contreras rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Soles have a solid three-game winning streak. Despite that victory Soles went down to third position due to points difference. Santos lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. Soles will play against league's leader Fuerza Regia in Monterrey in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Santos will play at home against Toros (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
