Regular Season Round 3: Sigal Prishtina - Kerasan 99-54

Date: October 24, 2016
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Prishtina: Sigal Prishtina (#6) and Kerasan (#5). Sigal Prishtina (1-2) crushed visiting Kerasan (0-3) by 45 points 99-54. Sigal Prishtina dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Kerasan's 26 and made 23-of-29 charity shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Sigal Prishtina forced 28 Kerasan turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Kerasan's players. 24 personal fouls committed by Kerasan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for the former international Fisnik Rugova (208-89) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Jabarie Hinds (180-92, college: Massachusetts) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Sigal Prishtina players scored in double figures. Power forward Ermir Gashi (200-97) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Rinor Ahmeti (188-96) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Kerasan. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sigal Prishtina's next round opponent will be Vellaznimi (#8) in Gjakove. Kerasan will play on the road against Peja in Peje and hopes to get finally their first victory.
