Very predictable result in Hod Hasharon where Hap.Haifa (2-1) smashed Hasharon (0-3) 94-71 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 38-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Hap.Haifa looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-85, college: IPFW) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds. Puerto Rican swingman David Huertas (195-87, college: Mississippi) helped adding 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four Hap.Haifa players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Juan Pattillo (201-88, college: W.Kentucky) with 23 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import Storm Warren (201-88, college: LSU, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hap.Haifa will face Hapoel B/S (#7) in Beer Sheva in the next round. Hasharon will play on the road against Hapoel Afula (#6) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
