Regular Season Round 6: Asseco II - SMS PZKosz 78-81

A very close game took place in Gdynia between SMS PZKosz and Asseco II. Fifth ranked SMS PZKosz (4-1) got a very close victory on the road over second-best Asseco II (4-2). SMS PZKosz managed to escape with a 3-point win 81-78 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Asseco II. The best player for the winners was power forward Adrian Bogucki (212-99) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Guard Michal Samsonowicz (188-98) chipped in 19 points. Four SMS PZKosz players scored in double figures. SMS PZKosz's coach Mariusz Niedbalski used entire bench in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Wojciech Czerlonko (195-95) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Michal Kolodziej (202-97, agency: Alti Sport) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively. SMS PZKosz moved-up to third place in Group A, which they share with AZS UMK Torun. Loser Asseco II dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. SMS PZKosz will meet at home Tarnovia (#6) in the next round. Asseco II will play against Trefl II Sopot and hope to secure a win.
