Regular Season Round 6: Nowa Sol - Miedzychod 71-88

Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Miedzychod (2-3) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Nowa Sol (0-6) 88-71 on Thursday. Miedzychod forced 20 Nowa Sol turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Center Lukasz Kwiatkowski (207-79) had a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Adam Chodkiewicz (199-90) chipped in 15 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Michal Ostrowski (191-98) with 15 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Adrian Krawczyk (186-95) scored 13 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Miedzychod maintains eighth position in Group D with 2-3 record. Loser Nowa Sol still closes the standings with six games lost. Miedzychod will face higher ranked Stal II Ostrow (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Nowa Sol will play against Rawia (#10) in Rawicz and hopes to get finally their first victory.
