Regular Season Round 4: Obras - Union Florida 61-71

Bottom-ranked Obras is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their third consecutive match to fourth ranked Union Florida (2-1) 71-61 on Thursday evening. The game without a history. Union Florida led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Union Florida forced 23 Obras turnovers. The winners were led by forward Carla Miculka (174-93) who scored that evening 17 points and 5 rebounds and guard Daniela Benvenuto (164-85) supported her with 11 points and 4 assists. Four Union Florida players scored in double figures. Even 15 points by Cuba point guard Arlenis Romero (176-84) did not help to save the game for Obras. International power forward Sofia Aispurua (189-95) added 7 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Union Florida moved-up to third place. Loser Obras still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Libertad Sun.. Union Florida will meet at home league's second-placed Berazategui in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Obras will play against Talleres RPB (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
