Regular Season Round 10: Quimsa - Echague 86-44

Date: October 27, 2016
Leader Quimsa delivered the ninth victory. This time they crushed 9th ranked Echague (3-8) 86-44 in Santiado Estero. The game without a history. Quimsa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Echague to just 5 points in second quarter. Quimsa dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Echague's 26. Quimsa forced 23 Echague turnovers and outrebounded them 51-29 including a 20-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Naturalized American guard Phillip Hopson (188-88, college: Idaho) notched 10 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and international power forward Tayavek Gallizzi (205-93) supported him with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Even 10 points and 5 rebounds by Canadian-Polish center Dallin Bachynski (213-91, college: Utah) did not help to save the game for Echague. American swingman Brandon Davis (198-88, college: Lamar, agency: Pro Sports) added 8 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Quimsa have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Norte with 9-3 record. Echague lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with eight games lost. Quimsa will have a break next round. Echague will play on the road against Olimpico de La Banda (#4) and hope to win that game.
