Regular Season Round 7: Alvik Basket - Lulea Basket 64-78

An interesting game for Lulea Basket (7-2) which played road game in Stockholm against 4th placed Alvik Basket (4-2). Second ranked Lulea Basket managed to get a 14-point victory 78-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Alvik Basket. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Lulea Basket forced 21 Alvik Basket turnovers. It was a great evening for American guard Katie Bussey (175-90, college: Montana St., agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points and 5 rebounds. FYR Macedonia forward Jelena Antic (187-91, college: Liberty) helped adding 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Lulea Basket players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Klara Lundquist (171-99) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Shawnice Wilson (198-90, college: Miami, FL, agency: Merit Management Group) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Lulea Basket. Defending champion maintains second place with 7-2 record behind leader Udominate. Alvik Basket at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. Lulea Basket will play against bottom-ranked Visby Ladies (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alvik Basket will play against KFUM Ostersund (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
